"Why are they releasing these vehicles on our roads when the motorway speed limit is 110km/h?"

He called for speed-governing of vehicles and for speedos to be limited to showing 130km/h.
Why 130km/h when the motorway speed limit is 110km/h?

Scruby will have a heart attack over here.
More people get injured/die from domestic violence than speeding or traffic accidents.

An interesting police documentary I watch over here last night. In one part of the show they were checking exactly how fast drivers were going. With the speed gun out, and speed limit 60km/h: 1st car passed was a normal passenger car at 84km/h...no problems, 2nd and 3rd car immediately passes an FD followed by a JZA80 at 246km/h!!! No need for any further testing. The comments from the cops were yes they are speeding, yes we will send out a speed camera photo and yes they will be caught. They could never show anything like this on Aussie telvision.

Now I don't agree with what drivers get away with over here but it seems as though...if drivers wanna kill themselves speeding then the cops aren't going to care for too much! "We don't have time to chase everyone who speeds, it's all caught on camera"...and the No. of surveilance cameras and angles they had was unbelievable...don't think noone is watching.

I think he's talking about the actual speedo.

This guy just gets worse and worse all the time. I can't believe he even potrays himself as professional when he can't do 5mins of research to find out some real facts. We need to gather whatever we can showing all of his stuff ups within the media.

          Yeah he is.

But I'm saying why does it have to read 130km/h when we can only go 110km/h?

It's about time someone introduced Mr Scruby to Mr Darwin...
It's not how fast you go, it's how you go fast.

Southo, can you let us know how your letter goes? If it is ignored you have the right to lodge a complaint with the press council of australia:
                  http://www.presscouncil.org.au/pcsit.../compform.html

The only thing you can really get them on is them calling him part of the "safety lobby". He isn't and it falsely portrays his comments as safety orientated.

IMHO the only way to bring old harold down is to take away his mouthpiece. The only way to do that is to treat his press-realeases with the same comtempt he has for car advertisements. If it's picked up by print media you can complain here:
                  http://www.presscouncil.org.au/pcsit.../compform.html
or if it's television you complain here:
                  http://www.aba.gov.au/tv/complaints/index.htm (tv)
                  http://www.aba.gov.au/radio/complaints/index.htm (radio)

I'm sure that car is well capable of doing over 110km/h and have a limiter of 250km/h (if it could even reach that fast).

As my boss said... A-grade idiot...

Every car forum thinks he's an idiot.

It's fun to see QLD Street Cars and Street Commodores having a go at him because it's just what he wants... buncha revhead fuckwits firing off dirty emails and the like which is just reinforcing what he expects

can you verify this is still the case? Also, what is the top speed of the 328?
