So either ihra didn't allow top fuel or top fuel had a beef with ihra, and this brought on a change which will alienate a bunch of serious racers in other categories, and a lot of people playing at a more accessible level, but probably be the better business decision for the track...

          Is that about right?

And really, the shitty part is the exclusivity agreement, because if it weren't for that, the track would be a track that was rented by promotors who would sanction the event with whichever body they wanted to, and everything would be fine for everyone?

Gross oversimplification but more or less the general vibe?

you can always hear them when they break and they stop the engine immediately so you can't do any more damage.

The track can’t survive on Top Fuel only. The Board is assuming the regular racers will wear this. Time will tell…

Similar situation with CAMS, if your not racing in the top tiers your just an inconvenience.

Glad I spent all day yesterday prepping my car for an IHRA tech!

As a person too lazy to look it up, what's the difference in techs between the two? 2002 sedan with 4w discs and airbags. Potential 8/9 sec pass. Not asking what I need, just asking what the differences are. Have pretty much everything IHRA on it.

Fark. In what way? Have weld in 4 point, with bolt in front to make it 6 pt, and side intrusion bars.

Don’t know but a cage built to pass ANDRA will pass IHRA but the reverse is not necessarily true. Speak to your cage builder

This is the total knowledge I have on the subject lol

Considering Andra cage is pretty basic I can't see this being a huge drama.

I still cannot understand how the rules in Australia are so fucking outdated.
There are so many new cars running 10s and 9s stock that have great brakes and are safe AF.

Seems to me that ANDRA are run by knuckle draggers.

I went through the specs on the ANDRA tech and it looks the same. Speccy shit about tube thickness but I'm sure mine's all good.
