normally i'd want to report wilful damage where possible but in the case of speed cameras i couldnt be bothered either.

It's interesting how placid us Australians are in taking crap from our government. We all know theyre doing the wrong thing, yet no one makes a stand.

Of course I would. I would then proceed to contacting my scrabble partner and "Walking Class Hero" Harold Scruby informing him of the destruction of life saving devices by our troublesome youths. I shall put forward the suggestion that a "vandalism camera" be installed in addition to our speed cameras to help curb this destructive behaviour.

I have sourced 2 of those 40 litre plastic garbage bins which i will be wrapping in tinsel and throwing over the top of 2 speed camera's in Sydney as a xmas present to motorists.

I once saw a guy scale one and vandalise it. I didn't say anything, then next day i walked past and he had written "Piggy Bank" in big black capital letters. I found it rather amusing.

Not sure bout speed cameras, but a few years back, we set out with a friends wheelchair and continously kept on going through a red light with a Red Light Camera in Wollongong, setting it off nearly every time. :rotflol:

depends... if they are just writing their name on the pole, then yeah I'd report them.

If they were cutting it down with a ceramic chainsaw, setting fire to it, packing it with explosives before reversing over it with a D9, then no, I can't see how there'd be any harm in their activities to warrent reporting.

reminds me of a story a scottish friend told me from when he was still in Glasgow:

everyone's sitting in the pub waiting to watch the world cup final, when guy walks in wearing overalls and carrying a ladder. He climbs up starts taking down the TV, and when questioned by the customers just says that he's taking it away for repair.
The publican comes down and asks where the TV has gone, and is told that the guy came to take it away for repair, only the publican hadn't organised for it to BE repaired.....
the guy was just knocking it off.... now THATS ballsy.
