the only information i have on price is that they were trying for a base 911 price in the US, that sits it at around $70,000. Still the bargain of the century.
Peter is right on the gearbox, helps weight distrobution plus brings the engine further back, the front is aprrox. inline with the center of the wheels.
My impression of a c5 was that it was actually quite cramped, especially for a US car, its definately a 'supercar' driving position, low, long feet high and high center console and sills. The tunnel would be smaller exept the exhaust goes thu there as its way too low for it to go under the chassis normally.
I dont really like the headlighs either, blacked out ones look better. But it wouldnt matter mine will be in black anyway (one day dammit!).
500hp GTS commo? i dunno, these engines are hand built in a run of ~4000 a year, it would hike the price up a fair bit considering this new Z is looking at a probable 15k price hike compared to the previous z06. It should finally surpass the price of the zr1

I said the same thing about a 400hp one not that long ago. M5 is 500hp, E55 is 500ish hp, Clubsport is near on 400hp. It would certainly be a "tier-two" engine
