    Come to think of it, who would buy an HSV that didn't do proper skids?

      I'd buy SS, XR, HSV or FPV cars for their RWD skidding ability.

      AWD in these sorts of cars 'just creates confusion' in the market just like the XR6T.

              The brakes are strong at first with both bite and modulation. But the pedal can soften to a disquieting extent over hilly roads - not a nice feeling.

                We've complained so often about Holden's four-speed that we're running out of damning adjectives.}
                But its coarseness in the Coupe 4 has reinspired us. Changes under power are as brutal as the second stage of a moon rocket igniting - or like sitting in a train that's being shunted.

                  For some strange reason they only fitted the 2 spot brake kit from PBR on the coupe4. The official line is that its a tourer not an all out performance car, but I suspect that the AWD system was calibrated with those brakes in mind and they coudnt be bothered to put the R&D in, given the coupe's limited sales. With the LS2's introduction in RWD HSV's, I cant see many people going for the coupe4.

                  There are a few guys bolting superchargers to Adventras with the same drivetrain as the coupe 4 (eg Starr). They are having problems with wheelspin - on a hard launch the electronics get confused and apply the brakes ! they then have to come to a stop, switch off and then start again.
