hmm I'd be more inclined to try and get it dropped a bracket.. eg you accept you *COULD* have been doing 5 over or something... car must have wandered away slightly down hill or whatever but could never have been doing 15 over...

thats a good idea also i would prefer to lose 2 points then 3 and pay a lesser fine.

speeding is still bullshit as per the link in my sig, but so is weaseling out of a fine for no reason. read Sir Revalot's post above - he's pretty much on the money with was i was trying to say, but took the time to explain it properly as where my earlier posts are more rushed.

anyway, had you written a letter explaning your extenduating circumstances, such as rushing someone to a hostipal, your house was on fire or being burgled etc etc, this would've been far better. but since you have no strong case on your behalf, what are the rest of us going to think?
