chiptorque weren't there at all as far as i saw.. neither the SAS guys..
200: MRTRX ran in the mid 600's... there was also a rumor about coolant marks down the block.. the top two were skyline engines... both over 600 ATW on pump fuel is pretty damn impressive..This is a post i wrote by mistake, which is nice...

Just about everyone was there somewhere, either with or without cars and sitting in the stands. Hunter's bluebird was damn impressive, 634.7rwhp on one run from it's fj20 is big. My fave car from the comp. One day a BA will shake up 6cyl. Manswetto said that was it for the small block and next year he would bring a big block and be the first to crack 1000 aspirated! Not sure about the CAPA crewman block. And about the 400ci small block limit, even though it ran exhibition? Munro's TRYHRD is stroked to 427 isn't it? Would it have been in small block blown? Or just exhibition?

Hmmm, mine with a more aggressive tune should make 250hp atw comfortably - a 13B bridgy with quad t/b... It's a streetcar - honest !!Originally posted by SpacNA rotary, Sam Austin 124hp (!). Interestingly enough, the same car with exactly the same tune has made of 150hp ATW in shoot-out mode...
The older i get, the better i was...

you know that porsche 968 turbo...well the engine autopsy is in the first issue of my magazine. It was recently rebuilt by Phil Buggee at Bits of Italy. It was driven from melbourne to the event and driven back, pump fuel all the way.I don't care a damn for your loyalty when you think I am right; when I really want it most is when you think I am wrong.

Most of the cars that ran in the 600's were on C16. Anything that runs 25+psi boost can't be on pump...
p.s one certain "big" hp car that cracked 1000hp had it's inlet temp probe tweaked (touching a hot surface). The temp compensation of shootout mode did the rest.
Next year the rules will be different. Almost a certainty will be a "unlimited" class with anything goes. Any fuel, any capacity and any boost.
So no more cheating
