seriously though...I second the VF22. Had one of my rexxy and lagged a tad but once it hit 3000rpm it hauled my hefty booty nicely.

Actually just follow Psi999's mod schedule.

I'm curious as 34 was on my list of turbo's to look at (similar specs to 30 but roller bearing)

I believe they have similiar compressor specs but the 22 has a P20 exhaust where the 34 has a P18. This is unlikely to give any power difference at low boost levels(16psi) on a 2.0l but will definitely affect response. A 34 is generally considered to be a better choice for a 2.0l as it offers the best response and power.

Power is really the least of your worries in a WRX though. Engine and gearbox longevity whilst making good power are the bigger picture.

VF22 is a POS. Too much inertia on the exhaust side causes failures. That, plus the lag makes them a really dud choice.

Stick with the TD04, why do you need more than 200kw?

          I'd go with the VF34.

Quick 1/4 mile times the 34 seems to have it over the 22, theres a few with 34's doing low 12's, but mid 12's is about the best most 22's get, and bonus seems to be the 34 is more responsive

            I had a mate running high 11's with a 23 so anything's possible.

Cant decide between 22 for outright power or 34 for mid and topish

I'm not worried about engine or box.

Don't say that Poosplat - I am looking at buying a Subi for the sole reason I should be able to get cheap labour from you, George and Glenno if I ever need parts replacement assistance!

The best clutch to use is a standard one or a 2800lb Jim Berry if you want the gearbox to stay together. Clutch = $700, Gearbox = lot$.
