i admire your work ethic nui, but if u want a finish that will be blemish free, 2 pac and last longer than a year without fading, then i think you are going to need a professional to do all the prep and spray work...
ive seen 100 home jobs, 5 of 10 of those turn out 'nice', ive seen 100's of pro jobs, only a few are worst than the home jobs.
Have a mini, stripped, paint is shot........ Rang about a half a dozen paint shops and none will touch it as it's not an insurance job, all they want to do is one panel here and there from an insurance company.
One of them said they would do it, only to ring up this morning and say no we changed our mind, come and get your car.
It's only a bloody mini, it's 4L of paint! Can anyone put me on to someone who can do it?
What does a respray in the same colour usually cost? Im not after show winning rice effects, just a respray in the factory colour. And im only talking about the exterior, not around doors and under the hood.
my experience for a mid sized 4dr car is around $3k for the same colour and $5k for a colour change.
Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

Spose it depends where you look - if a full respray in same colour was 3k at normal panel beaters/sprayers sign me up :p
I asked at a place I had my rust cut out at and the guy was throwing around figures like 6k for a normal respray and 10k for a 'show condition' respray.
