    I know of a few people up here who have spent fortunes on their cars. Most of them did not get the dosh honestly. People I know from Brisbane and Perth with big dollar setups all fall into the "dishonest" lifestyle and ways to pay for their vehicles.

    It is interesting to go to the drags and hear people saying "XXXX you farken drug dealing scumbag" etc.

    In this situation it's pretty clear - Rotatr didn't do the dodgy shit to pay for his car - he wasn't selling weed or pills to pay for a few mods. This was his way of life - his profession/lifestyle. He didn't do it just for the show car and trophies, he did because it allowed him to have a showcar(s) and or trophies.

    Foolishly I used to envy some of these types of guys. Now I see them for the leaches they are. I would rather earn my money honestly and be safe in the thought I had done things myself, with money I had earned. It gives you a bit of pride and self dignity at the end of the day.

    And as Jmac was wondering, how do these people cruise around in grossly expensive cars, have a garage full of expensive toys and still rock up to centrelink week after week to get their unemplyment benefits?! I mean wtf!

    I was talking to a mate the other day and he told me about a local fella who the cops were eyeing for a car related matter - I asked him "Wouldn't the guy be fucked if the coppers went over his house and looked at his cars?"

    My mate responded "No, not with the older style cars. He could claim he had been working on it for the last 14 years, whilst he was unemployed." A tough ask, not with the money involved...

    But, true or not, it is still a fucked situation... And eventually I hope these people get fucked over.

          Of course it was dodgy. It was his job. Just as other people work in factories or supermarkets. Obviously it wasn't as legitimate as other professions.

          Stealing and rebirthing cars to get the sort of money he would have spent just on the Xp would have have meant he was doing this shit full time. That is all I meant.

              No, I don't think that at all. I was just commenting, that he appeared to be a "career" criminal. He had no trade (AFAIK), but he was good at something.

              We'll have wait to see if he'll post again. Maybe, he had a business plan...

                          im just as pissed off as you guys. He has tarnished the industry, The aprts guys, painters panel beaters and everyone else. HE has givenm the hilliers a bad rep too when u look at it.

                          I worked 3 jobs to make ends meet to get my car ready so this is a real big let down.

                          I also wonder if Queen st will be targeted after what i ahve heard from pplz.


                          Alot of ppl will no ( in WA) about a black monaro being delivered back home at 10pm by the cops...........

                              I certainly hope whoever is making comments like that is RIGHT. I have been tarred with the same brush many times. I was 21 when I bought my S15 and being called a drug dealer regularly was pretty f*ed up. Some dumbass yobbos up here seem to think that everyone in this world has no education and earns 10 bucks an hour mowing lawns.

                                But as i and you are aware heaps of people in darwin get there car money from the wrong places (you just have to think of a certain wrx driver a few years ago) + heaps of other people that i know....
