I was talking to a young bloke that is a waiter at my local Thai restaurant the other night and I was asking what he and his mates think is a cool\good car. His answer was immediate....Lancer Coupe. I can "appreciate" all sorts of shit boxes that aren't really my cup to tea. Hell, I can even understand why people build T-buckets.....well sort of anyway. What I can't understand is why ever 18 year old thinks a blinged up Lancer Coupe is the coolest thing in the world. I've got nothing against Lancers. I'd really like a TME Evo 6. Ok, so an 18 year old can't afford an Evo (neither can I), but a Lancer Coupe is hardly a substitute. I thought it might be a rally thing, but if that were the case, they would be a thing of the past and everybody would be doing up Citroen Xsara's by now. So what is it that attracts so so many people to these chariots??

) it's because the 4-cylinder magazines tell them that they're cool and they're sheep who don't know any better and can't look outside the "mainstream".
