    Help with valueing Tyres..

I am trying to decide if I should keep this second hand set or sell it and buy a new set.. What would be an aprox value of this set:
There are (pic of each type below):

    2x Dunlop Monza 200’s
    P175/65 R14 84H

    and

    2x Roadstone Dark Horse 11-65
    175/65 R14 82H

    Any help appreciated..

How old are they? If they've been lying around for a while, I'd be tempted to get rid of them and get some fresh ones.

What are they on/going on/off? What are you planning on doing with them (day-to-day driving/"spirited" driving/sprints/trackdays/burnouts/d*ckrift)?

175/65R14 being such a preformance fitment (particularly on nice steelies like those), I don't know if I'd bother trying to get anoythign real flash unless you were planning on doing some proper motorsport (Supersprints/TrackDays/Hillclimbs/Motorkhanas).
Right now I'm eating scrambled egg. With a comb! Out of a shoe!

Only planning on day to day driving. It would be going on an old impreza. They came off a honda Civic.. Im just inerested to know what they are worth.
If I do buy new- I wouldn't be getting anything fancy- just something with more tread..

The Dunlops would be worth very close to $0. There's not much tread until the wear indicators (from the look of the photo's, anyway), and 175/65R14's aren't in hjuge demand, and don't cost that much new.
The Roadstone's look in better shape, but being an unknown brand, aer probably worth bugger all as well.

Might be worth reading the owners manual on your Impreza. If it's AllWheelDrive, and not just a FWD model, I'm pretty sure they recommend replacing all 4 tyres at once, in an attempt to prevent centre-diff wind-up. Then again, that may just be an urban myth...

The new price is probably quite a bit less than $100 each, so secondhand pricing on tyres that are damn near new would have to be just over half the new price, and tyres showing any wear at all down to about 30% of new price.

                cheers

LOL! Can always bet on PF for a laugh.

                  Stock rubbers/rims are worth jack.

You can go along Parra. Rd. to any of the dodgy tyre places and get Commo Exec. Forte rims for cheap... even 205/60/16 which aren't that bad.

I did a quick google on 'Roadstone Dark Horse' - apparently a 2nd rate defunct Korean tyre company (!!!)
