Without doing a 'think of the children' act, I suppose at least on the plus side nobody was injured or anything. Loss of license is trivial in comparison I guess.

In all seriousness though, I'll give you credit for bringing it up, a lot of people would hide info like that, and it's probably got more value as a warning to others than to be dealt with without any discussion.

Got what he deserves, I'm sure it's not the first time either.
I fail to see what the last part of your comment has to do with this thread. I dont condone drink driving in any way shape or form, I was merely illustrating for the benefit of the greater PF community that passing out for 6 hours will not get a bottle of bourbon out of your system.

But hey, if you want to ridicule someone who already knows they've done the wrong thing, go for your life.

Oh, your mum says hi. Fucker.

Thats a pretty high reading to wake up with isnt it? lol

I think as well as a breathalyzer test, they should also do the US style alcohol test, because obviously there are circumstances where 0.2 might not affect people as much as others
        GIANTS TALK LIKE THIS.

Doesn't the "average" person only get rid of about one standard drink per hour (meaning the body absorbs the alcohol)?
Or am I confused with it only taking one standard drink per hour to maintain the same blood alcohol content?

shiiiit I would have been done heaps! I regularly polished off a whole bottle plus some & have driven at about lunch time the follwoing day feeling fine! (I always dranks lots of water so hangovers were minimal)

It reckons at 11:30am after my average big night back in the day I'd be unconscious with .243

              Thats 26yo bloke 165cm 95kg 30 full nips

I reckon that calculator is for soft cocks

edit: it reckons at 2:30am when I'd usually be about to crash I should be dead with .346 :rotflol:

Back when I used to drink I had several occasions where I consumed the equivalent of more than a bottle of spirits, over no more than 6 hours, and was blowing little or nothing above zero only 6 hours later. Yes, it was tested with decent breath analysers too. Once was by the side of the road at the breatho.

So more often than not, I was actually safe to drive the next morning. Doesn't happen that way for many people though.

I remember getting told a rule of thumb of 1 hr for every 0.01 for the average Joe.

so 24hrs for 0.237 to get completely out the system.

We all got brethoed by a copper friend at a NYE party once and I was surpirsed at just how pissed i felt at 0.08 (old limit) and then feeling very farking drunk at 0.16 - I think i made it to 0.21

I couldn't speak properly let alone walk straight at that point. but everyone is different. They'd be dudes flying around that are permanently over 0.05 and not feel the slightest bit pissed at twice that.

nigh on a litre of Spirits = an average night?

You're either a machine, or an alcoholic.

You know your bad when you polish off a 700ml bottle each & drive to the bottle-o for refills - was about 5 of us that did it every weekend (and some weeknights) for a few yrs, 16-21ish

probs a part of why I'm sick now even tho the liver & kidneys check out ok

I once was young and stupid- drank a case in about three hours with my mate (375 ml stubbies)- I was pretty smashed. I only lived around the corner, so I jumped in the Hilux Monster Truck and headed home. being pissed I decided to get a maccas feed, got pulled over as soon as I got on the main road and breathtested. I was pretty crooked. He asked if I had had a drink- I said " Mate I am sorry to say I have been drinking all arvo, and I am pissed. I blew into the tester and he said "mate you are under." I said "Are you for real" He goes "seriously, 0.03" I thought he was letting me off, but I was actually under the limit. I am 6 foot 3 and 110 kgs. guess I convert the booze pretty quick.

Now I get a cab- I make really bad decisions when I am off my face :D

Muz, from the little I understand about, your BAC was probably still on the rise.... probably peaked a few hours later...
