That rev limiter is pretty basic though- like a factory limiter.

Motec has a spark or fuel cut, and can be tuned to run pretty smoothly and cut very softly- however, the more angry the engine, the harder it is to limit smoothly at full throttle. Hence the move to electronic throttles on big hairy engines.

Bought another car today

Well, most of a car

Scored a Mazda 1000 ute shell, most of the rust cut out, all the bits except motor and gearbox for $500 from Mr RX3 in Bayswater

Think I'm in way over my head as I haven't done any panelbeating before, but I'm very keen and I want to do it right even if it takes 12 months or more, so we'll see how I go

Will post some pics when I get it towed this week
