as an example, an elephant pushes over a tree to eat the fresh leaves at the top, but a human isnt allowed to build a machine that makes a car so he can drive around to places quicker?
It won't be really $62k. The first shipment of 120i's couldn't be bought for that little, every single car that entered the country had the optional big wheels & leather trim & sunroof etc. The fact that they could sell it for more than $62k means it won't be $62k.
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.
I take back my last comment on you guys' conservatism.
I should have said that you guys make the Fred Nile Call To Australia Party look like the Gay & Lesbian Mardi Gras by comparison ...

i thought we already had the 1's here, or am i missed steaken?
i think it looks nice, no over the top ghey styling, doesn't seem to be Bangleated , it's good to see a small car with a real front end.. not these squished up FWD things...
BINGO
This seems to be a current trend amongst manufacturers.
They cut key items out of the std specification, and present the new model "at the same price" ...or less... than the outgoing model.
The modest [read: bare essential] options are over priced.
$10 or 20k creeps up quickly
This has 2 effects
- massacres the resale price of the outgoing model.
- reduces the price of the new model in the second hand market.
[rant off/] .....for the moment
3rd effect.
It allows BMW to claim a decent resale value. List price in 05 was $62k, 3 years later its still worth $45k. Just neglect to mention that it had $30k of options when new. Thats how all published resale values are calculated & why car companies who basically dont have options lists get stooged.

Hey? It looks completely "Bangleated", its' styling slots in perfectly with the entire rest of the BMW range at the moment
