Not to drive every day! But it might be one of the few cars built in the last 20 years that did not cost over £100000 when new and may appreciate in value in the future.

Young Zac, I thought you would change your errant ways once ensconced in the posh surroundings of Bayswater London. Oh how foolish was I!

Btw you loafer, how are things? Any vans pull up to the internet café again lol?

Yes. I've always wanted one. The car that got me in to rallying. The first R/C car I owned. The most successful rally car in history.

Buy it now. It won't be as fast as a current GpN based WRX or Evo, but it has a gazillion times the cred.

Or buy the rally rego only '88 for $25k. http://www.rally.com.au/usefulinfo/forsale/id=130 Comes with cage. Attach bash plate and go rallying. I wish I had the cash!

'76 1380 Clubman (I really should fix it)
'86 AE82 Twin Cam (cunts trashed it, gone to the wrecker)
'85 JD Camira rally car (I trashed it, now its a Lanos)

There was a road registerable one on ebay almost a couple of years ago for $50k starting bid. Dunno how it compares to this one (it was probably not rebuilt, engine-wise), but it gives you another idea on price anyways..

One of the coolest cars ever. Who gives a toss if a WRX is a better car. An Intergra Type S is a better car than a Ferrari 308 GT4 for the same money. I know what I'd rather have.

Yep - one of these and a Peugeot 205 T16 parked in the shed out back would be nice.

Me too. It always just looked tougher than the Celica to me.

Well, they do nothing for me...

If I wanted a Group B car then it would be a T16, or the previous rwd lancia, or earlier a stratos...

Yep, the integrale might be quicker but that is as relevant as saying an evo is quicker than it.

At least the T16 won the last championship...
