As far as I'm aware, the narrow tyres on wide rims is a pisstake on a drift thing. It's to eliminate sidewall flex or some bullshit. I think it looks pretty average.

Some of this stuff is invading Australia too, here's some cars down here (not my pics, I stole them from some guy)

Mate's celica with 15x7" low offset Longchamp XR4's - definitely best from the back...

BIG horsepower (383rwkw initial tune) RB26/T88 HR31 coupe with 16" SSR mesh rims..
I've seen things you people wouldn't believe, and from this side only! The flight of a half-man, half-bird. Dinosaurs nuzzling their young in pastures where strip-malls should be. Cookies on dowels. All those moments lost in time; gone like eggs off a hooker's stomach. Time to die.

CXTDreamer - Did you get those rims from a guy in QLD? I think I remember seeing them on Ebay a couple of times. Wanted them but didn't have the coin.

Keep posting up the DR30 photos!

Being an ex-DR30 owner myself I kinda cringe at that ride height....looks awesome but the FJ sump hangs down a fair bit and I remember having to remove and reweld cracked sumps about eleventy billion times until I relented and raised the ride height an inch and a bit

BTW my DR30 had Longchamps XR4s too. 15 x 7.5 with a +20 offset. Sold it to a guy in Brissie who immediately slapped on a horrible set of hyperfang 17s

Mine are 15*7 +11, and yeah theyre the ones that were in Brisbane, getting posted down this weekend, a friend has been holding them for me.

Heehee and I have Watanabe RS8's on it atm :p

Babalouie... too right, I've spacked the absolute shit out of mine on a rock on a dirt road, standard ride height but the left wheels were in a rut... I think its either blocked the pickup or snapped it off, no oil pressure But I've put a deposit on a NA FJ with sidedraughts, trade power for throttle response.

                              Eventually I'll get a MX5........

Hmm...are the Brissie Longchamps powdercoated black with a machined lip? If so they might be my old ones.

Eventually I had a sheet of 3mm steel bent to follow the shape of the sump and had that welded on. No more cracked sumps after that, but when I sold the car all of the paint on the bottom of the semi-skid plate had been worn off
And my FJ had the characteristic oil pump whine from cold from the gears having been damaged from sucking thru a oil pickup that had the sump bashed into it 99% of all FJs must have that sound too :D
