I'd still take a McLaren F1 over it.
I was thinking about the F1 the other day - It weighs pretty much the same as my Sprinter, but has 600hp.
The Sprinter goes okay wth 200hp, so I figure it'd be most exciting with three times as much power, vastly better handling, brakes, and aerodynamics.
I'd put money on the F1 shitting on the Bugatti around a track from a great height.

Or for that matter, an Enzo, Carrera GT, Zonda etc etc...
This thing weighs about the same as a Falcon GT. Must be cumbersome, and hard as hell on brakes and tyres. But then, I don't have a supercar, so I shouldn't comment...

The bug is running 425mm carbon composite front rotors (formula 1 stuff) with 8 piston mono block brembos up front and 380mm rotors and 6 piston brembos.
From over 400km/h it has amazing stopping power.
I cant see it being quicker than an enzo which is a purpose built track car. There a new special edition enzo coming out with 800hp dedicated just for track use.
Useless conjecture anyway, as the day we see any of those cars on a track competing will be the same day I climb up on the roof of my house, stick my head up my own arse and sing the national anthem.

Hmm, what I meant was Joe Lunchpail and his Enzo, Johnny Punchclock in his Macca, Bob Bobson in his Bugatti, all on the same track competing. and not racecars, the road cars. It'd never happen so the comparisions are almost pointless. These are all cars that will, for the most part, be locked away and admired from behind velvet ropes. More's the pity...

Dont forget Lindsay Fox has all the great supercars locked away in his warehouse in Melbourne. He owns Phillip Island race track also and hes enzo has had some some private sessions down there recently
I respect it and see the attraction, but it leaves me totally cold as far as raw desirability goes. I'd sooner have a hot Elise (and definitely a McLaren) than one of these.
I agree that these things will rarely be given a thrashing. They're cars for arriving, not driving, and will make a great one-upmanship tool in the valet of the hottest restaurants/bars/casinos/hotels in New York/Monaco/Dubai.
I still wouldn't knock back a go in one, though. :D
lol, yeah can see the new 5f5f movie, starring Keira Knightley called "bend it like beckham does in the nottinghill carpark"
J
Does she get nude??
Meh, it is a bit of a wank. I'd much rather a car that can do "X" lap time than "X" top speed that is completely unobtainable unless on a salt flat. Then again..it is kind of cool...

I wouldn't mind bending Keira Knightley...
me, I think this car is great, an awesome bit of engineering. But then again, I don't think Bugatti gives a rat's arse what we plebs think. Still, I'd be happy to try out that 3rd gear 4wd wheelspin thing...
WRT the Sledgehammer et al, keep in mind that this is a production car, meeting (presumably) all the latest associated regulations for safety, emissions, legal, etc, with aerodynamics that has been purpose designed for that speed, all with a warranty that covers more k's than any owners will ever put on one of these...

Name me, if you can, a better feeling than the one you get when you're half a bottle of Chivas in the bag with a gram of coke up your nose and a teenage lovely pulling off her tube top in the next seat over while you're going a hundred miles an hour down a suburban side street.
sledgehammer was a production car if someone came along with the right dosh.
It was also driven to and from the testing. There were plenty of tt vettes with full warranty and emmisions built, just none quite that higher hp.
eg http://www.barrett-jackson.com/event....asp?id=178662
zr1 tt by calloway, fully backed by chevy, some rich prick came up with the cash (somwhere in the 200,000's) and he made it, 750hp.

Except that vette is uglier than any car mentioned in this thread up until now. And the others can go around corners, as well.
Presonnally if i had my choice,, Ferrari F40 all the way!!
After that they all went a bit helpful in my opinion, striped out race car, thats what you need!!!
PS: To the above?/\ The professional is an Awesome Movie!!
