i use between 25%-75% of my income on fuel...
but then again it's also FOR work, so yeh...
y'know it's great delivering pizzas in a V8
and while we can dream of it going back to 60-70c it never will

Dont forget our good friend inflation...
The price of fuel has shot up and all over the place but like everything else it will have an underling inflation price rise.
This question is like asking will bottles of coke return to sub $1 again?
Not likely----------------------------

Frankly speaking, I think you should maybe consider changing jobs.

Yeah, I dont think fuel will be going below 1.10-1.20 in a hurry
Glad im getting my car fixed - its been doing double the normal consumption! 11-12L/100K
Not cool with current prices.
Though, im in the same boat as some of the guys here- I'll only drive to work maybe 2-3 days a week, and its a 14 k round trip.

more emphasis needs to be put on public transport - the quality, the destinations (systems where it just all goes into the city centre and back out again is not workable for many people), the reliability. i don't think many of us have a problem with the cost of public transport.
if the bus that supposedly goes down my street reliably did every day i'd have no problem catching it. i'd love to be able to have a couple of drinks every day after work.

Phuck no Man!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fule will never be below one dollar a liter again..
I think that maybe in our life time we will see fule below one dollar again but that is when they invent some shite converter to put on our cars that uses some power reduceing fule of some sort......I fell the death of high performers coming in my life time, I see my self dreaming about me and my girl cruiseing down the streets enjoying the roar of my high performance V8 when im an old man with a battery powered pice of crap in the drive way, thinking of the good old days when i could go on my saturday walk to the millk bar and see other young hoons smoken up my street in their high performers and then runnung home like a maniac to my car and trying to find them so i could compare speeds.......mmmm V8 memorys.... :D
