Does it suck down the fuel like a traditional V8? Or at least like a 7 litre "ought to"? No.

Do you think the engine is tuned to within an inch of its life? I highly doubt it. The cam in it is piss weak, and if it responds to bolt-ons like the common LS1, I'd say there'd be no reason why it wouldnt comfortably make 600 lazy HP / 550ft.lb without even trying.

Whats the problem? Are people complaining that even tho its just a big dumb engine, that it happens to make great HP/torque, returns decent fuel economy, and is physically a compact package as well as being a comparitavely affordable engine?

Oh and how fast is the car round the 'ring?

7:42.9 and yes its already responding fantastic to mods.

Bill- no offence, but 500 hp is more fun than the sickest 120 hp/litre car you can show me. Download the video walkie just posted and hear what it sounds like.

Precious few people here will ever get to feel 500 real hp. Nothing like it. (Except 1000 real :D)

I say, who cares what it is as long as it is fast. Someone elses fuel bills worry me very little :D

Cathy has a bit more than 500 at the wheels but she is a bit silly.

kylent, Sure can...just as soon as you can prove that someone built 500 of them. A very small stumbling block I know.

Apart from engineers and marketers, who gives a toss about hp/litre?
Its an old argument, its a dead argument - move on already.

even then its only engineers & marketers whose engines arent big enough...
