The east-coast capitals are the breadbasket of the insurance industry; they've attuned Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne people to paying through the posterior, so they can afford to have lower premiums elsewhere ('cos all the companies operate in the same way).
Ring around Vl5spd, you might fluke one that's lower than the others. CGU, GIO,
Allianz spring to mind. Otherwise call Shannons' and promise to up the boost ... :D
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

I wasn't going to bother with CGU / GIO / Allianz etc, I've looked many times in the past and they are all around the same as NRMA.
Do Shannons still limit the amount of K's you can drive?
how many k's you planning to do in it? servicing on subaru's is rarely expensive.
my wrx costs about $160 for a 12,500km service, $400 or so for the 50,000km service and about a grand for the 100,000. can't imagine why it'd be much more than any other car.
Servicing is fixed for the next 2 years at $197 through the dealer for the X. I think that I would have to go through the dealer to get the extra 2 years warrenty
