Stop teasing me you old pricks!

    22 + Turbo = $4000 insurance.

      LOL, i'm only 26!

Being in country does help. My WRX was ~$2k and I was 24. Insurance on the Foresters are not as bad as a WRX. Hunt around a little.

        Shite!! What's your no claim?

I was paying $2000 for my WRX when under 25 and that recently went down to $1100 when I turned 25.

        Have you rung around?

Stop it you bastards, I'm starting to think about XT's now...

I don't want a big(ger) loan / insurance bill! The quote on the X or Xs is just over $1000 which I can live with.

No claim is 45% i think

Just did a quick NRMA estimate $3k. Who else can i try?

AAMI won't do it because its turbo so I will try Just Car, anyone else?

I think running / service costs might be too much on the XT too.

The east-coast capitals are the breadbasket of the insurance industry; they've attuned Sydney, Brisbane & Melbourne people to paying through the posterior, so they can afford to have lower premiums elsewhere ('cos all the companies operate in the same way).

Ring around Vl5spd, you might fluke one that's lower than the others. CGU, GIO,
Allianz spring to mind. Otherwise call Shannons' and promise to up the boost ... :D
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

I wasn't going to bother with CGU / GIO / Allianz etc, I've looked many times in the past and they are all around the same as NRMA.

Do Shannons still limit the amount of K's you can drive?

GT and XT have surprisingly high insurance due to the WRX parts list included. Although later models with data dots/immobilisers etc are much cheaper

                        not bad.

how many k's you planning to do in it? servicing on subaru's is rarely expensive.

my wrx costs about $160 for a 12,500km service, $400 or so for the 50,000km service and about a grand for the 100,000. can't imagine why it'd be much more than any other car.

                          Normal k's - about 20k a year

Servicing is fixed for the next 2 years at $197 through the dealer for the X. I think that I would have to go through the dealer to get the extra 2 years warrenty

do you mean $197 TOTAL for the whole 2 years of servicing? that's not a bad deal if so.

re. warranty - you can always buy an extra few years warranty for a few hundred bucks (from a subaru dealer).
