I'd either go for sidchrome or CGL which is the coventrys brand stuff - it's supposed to be made in the same factory as sidchrome and the stuff i've seen is high quality but it's cheaper than sidchrome.

          FORCE from tradies tool

          so bloody tough
excellent ratchet, another vote for FORCE here. apparently it's kinchrome-made in the same factory but with a different brand name and heaps cheaper. very quality ratchet and mine was $40 with an adjustable angle head and oversize handle for heavy use.

our force 1/2 inch rachet doubled as a hammer, a crowbar and with the addition of the trolley jack handle it made an awesome 1m breaker bar..

            could not kill it

ive got a bunch of kinchrome stuff ~ daily abuse and its all good and not warped/cracked or anything. Ive had this "supertools" breaker bar for over a year and used it to take of small truck nuts ( with abit of leverage help with a race-jack handle end) and its still fine

I have a Stanley which is made in the UK. This thing has taken some serious work abuse and still is going strong.

It's funny I was talking to a guy who owns a tool shop and he "claims" that for the money you can get better tools that the Snap-on brand.
