the guy cal refers to is a good steerer infact, he competed for many years successfully in porsche driver challenge?, however russ's driving attitude is maybe too aggressive for the tarmac rallies (hence the crashes) . none the less, i stress he's a good steerer.
in reference to the 'good', 'sturdy' cage in the car, it is a credit to bushell engeneering here in brisbane who before we at T&D Automotive approached them, never built a roll cage before. Some stated it was pehaps overkill, time showed it did its job perfectly.
for those interested, we build these cars at a rough cost of 130 thousand. pm me for more details. we have built already 3 and are currently building another 2, one will be a tiptronic that will also be raced at targa. these cars can only be rally rego'd.

Paul Stokell, undoubtedly a great steerer, has finished only once to my recollection - although I think there was one mechanical in there somewhere that couldn't be attributed to an off-course. Hell, one guy I know,(who shall remain nameless) and was fairly handy on the circuit, bought 3 replacement cars after smashing them in consecutive events ~ not sure if the organisers banned him or the ready supply of co-drivers ran out.
