This will be the 7th year in a row i'm heading down and over that time it has tamed down a lot, especially on Saturday night. Saturday night has actually become disappointing now, none of the campers popping tyres and shooting rubber all over you.

As for having trouble with the crowd, yeah every now and then we have had a comment about wogs but you just laugh it off, I couldn’t careless what people say when there are so many nice cars around you.
One of the best parts of the nats is talking to some old pisst bogan telling you about the HQ he had in 1988 that he pumped $50k into and got nothing from insurance when he forgot to pull the handbrake up and it rolled off a cliff.

I have decided to go with a mate as spectators - its one of the things you have to do at least once.

I am driving the commo up but parking it in the hotel carpark and leaving it there, hopefully safe and sound.

It would be great to see TRYHRD pull some good numbers after all the money that has been dropped into it.

Actually, it's a 50/50 mix. Be interesting to see what happens when someone yells out "Cronulla !!" But if it's after 3pm the Aussies will be too pissed to fight and most of them are cowards anyway...

I dont think it is as bad as ppl make it out to be...yeah there are a few dickheads there but what can you expect at an event like this.

If U have some common sense then U will be ok. If U like a fight, I am sure U can find one too.

I have been going for 5 years now, never had a problem, seen shit happen but thats just how it is.

Alcohol makes it worse but its not the solution...its the crowds the event attracts...and some people have NFI about anything other than V8 and burnouts.

I went down a few times, won Rotary HP hero @ 15 which was pretty cool! GOt a few comments about the car, but they soon shut up when they saw the dyno sheet :D Trying to do burn outs on Yoko AO32Rs doesnt work either, which the mob didnt really appreciate

Took my girlfriend down with me twice, we didnt really get out of the car so there werent any dramas. We always made sure we were out of Natex by 5pm on Saturday arvo though. Rotors and pissed bogans dont mix :O

i went way back in 2000 and it wasnt too bad, just dont drive your 4cyl anywhere at night time, too many pissed bogans want you to pull skids.

Correct, photoshoot was done at ten capital 2weeks ago and will be in the first issue of the new year. Ive heard a bit about it but havent been able to get any info out of my mate who spends his time in and out of it running wires.
