Looks pretty good in the flesh I reckon, whereas in the pics you tend to focus on those flares in real life they aren't all that noticeable. In fact at first glance I thought it was a current model S-class when I saw one in Tokyo a few weeks ago.

it looks like the new mercedes S class to me.. from all angles.. although i'm not sure the 'powerarches' suit a car like this.. in the flesh will tell

Agree with NiteP]-[yre, looks exactly like a new S-Class to me.
I, too, don't know if I like the SLR5000 arches; but like all current BMW's, it may look good in the flesh.

Being sceptical as a result of recent 'hit it' threads, I expected someone to say it was an upcoming Ssangyong or a Hyundai, 'cos it looks so much like a ripoff of a Benz ...
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

Germans have lost their way styling wise, front and rear way too fussy, looks Korean and almost ricey. And the 'power bulges', reminds me of the Z31 300ZX.

Mercedes-Benz does sell alot of it's previous designs and tooling to Ssangyong.. so it's not so far fetched.

i bet the next chrysler neon will look similar.

                        Say

The new Lexus 4XX looks heaps better. The Germans (well as least BM/DB) have lost it.
