engine for bills sprinter?

That's probably got the RR- Meteor engine in it, which is basically the more famous Merlin but without the big supercharger on it.
It's still 27 litres of quad-cam multi-valve V-12 though.

I do recall that Adrian Edmondson's book, How To Be A Complete Bastard had single-paragraph instructions on fitting a RR Merlin into a TE/TF Cortina. I think it had a photo, too, to make it easier.

Tis true... and to add further weight to the rumours that Bill is a shirt lifter, the Sprinter is an auto. The only way he could redeem himself is to build a tough as nuts clubman without any luxuries such as stereo, heater, wipers, windscreen... wait a minute...
