You can't be serious! I am the first to argue against the brainwashing on TV ("Jack you're a classic" is some very funny television ), but the fact remains, the higher the velocity when you hit something, the higher the chances of death. These bikes can reach 100km/h in the driveway

      Cal, read this bit too.
I know the faster you go, the more it hurts, but if you were to believe what we see on the idiot box, I will never ever have a problem as long as I stay at/under the speed limit. That is absolute bullshit if you consider how many accidents didn't even involve speeding.

I agree with your point, but dude was on the back wheel of an 1200cc sports bike.

Yep, just like he could've been on any bike. Can do it on a pushbike if you're stupid enough not to wear a helmet.

Does that imply you can't hurt yourself if you do wear a helmet?

Nup. Just adding you need to be extra stupid if you don't wear one.

A young man is dead because his balls were bigger than his brain. It's tragic for his family and friends but as has been said, you cannot legislate against stupidity without impacting the freedom of people that have some common sense. I'm certain that if this guy was restricted from getting this bike he would have found another way to get his need for speed. He may not have died or he may have still died or worse, taken a few others with him.

Not at all DHS I didn't even read that he did... Big farken deal!

I was referring to his multiple suspensions and 20min police chase etc!

Some people just aren't mature enough to be able to do things sensibly they have to go all out and well yeah this guy paid the price

Liscencing really isn't the problem this kid would have killed himself no matter how hard it was to get a liscence

It should be mandatory that all first year bike license holders are restricted to either a CT110 or a Nifty 50

It's a shame, but most dickheads need rules and restrictions in order to stay alive.

                                Yes you can.

                                Don't ban superbikes.

If you have someone who has demonstrated they have no common sense either NEVER let them drive / ride again ...

                                Or

Restrict what they are allowed to drive / ride.

Edo sold his GSXR because it could accelerate fast enough to get him into trouble too easy. Although he's said this kid's death was "Darwin at work", perhaps by the time he was as old edo (bloody old), he would be a bit smarter. We'll never know now.
                                Happy Christmas
