Had my black M5 given a complete detail from Jayde at dulvariprestige@iprimus.com.au on the Gold Coast. He worked on the car for 13 1/2 hours. $350 He is brilliant.

        Some of his work.....sorry Simon.

damn thats some good results. but how long does the finish last - does it 'weather' well?
maybe this will fix my problems. as I have it even worse - black car parked within 50m of the sea. every week i need to wash all the caked salt off it. you can't see through the windows without cleaning them - especially if its been windy. I have now got tired of taking a car cover on and off - it drives me even more nuts.

As the M5 is garaged, I was able to go for a natural product as opposed to a polymer. I have a about 3 or so coats of Swissol on it but if it was being parked outside daily, it would only last about 3 or so months. You would proberly go for something like a Zaino polymer. Excellent product and is very durable and long lasting. It's just that being a natural carnauba wax, Swissol, has a deeper gloss.

You will still have to clean it as nothing can prevent it getting dirty.

Shoot Jayde an email, he is extremely helpful. He travelled to Brisbane from the Gold Coast. Got to my place at 7am and left to go home at 9.30pm. As he is based on the God Coast, he will surely have an answer to your problems of parking near salty water.

Go to Detail Paradise and have a look in the show and shine forum for some of his work. JAYDE_DP is his user name.

It is also a very good forum for tips and tricks of getting the best out of any car care product. It was set up by a couple of detailers a while ago
