Go over it with maguires carnauba wax that scratch remover isn't a wax and the car will not look so good out in the direct sunlight . I noticed alot of after detailing shots above where not taken as so to catch the sun actually hitting the panel directly , where as the before shots have the opposite .

I'm a spraypainter by trade and do abit of detailing on the side . I can tell you that taking your black car to some of these detailer's who charge $350+++ might have the car looking good for five minutes but if you don't up keep it the car will be back the way it was within weeks .

Alot of the problem alot of the time is when the car is rotary buffed with harsh compound's to clean the surface it puts a heavy scratch pattern in the paint and what the wax does is fill the scratches . Leave the car out in the rain or wash it a couple of times and it will be swirl city once again .

On the bike i use Gelson T57 on a soft pad by hand, wipe with microfibre cloth, then go over it with meguiars hi-tech yellow wax on a soft pad by hand, wipe with said cloth an repeat. The Gelson product i find is great on black cars and i use it at work.

Head to waxit.com.au, he has all the goodies and is a top bloke if you have any questions.

I use P21s and find it to be excellent! Much MUCH better than Meguiars and I've had them all... I too used to think Meguiars was good.
                I got nothing

i did my ute the other week. its polonessian green, not black. but still a very hard colour to keep tidy.
i used Meguires fine cut first, then swirl remover. then went over it with Meguires deep crystal. that shit is unreal, goes right into the paint and dont leave any of the white residue. makes the paint look deeper and darker. highly recomended

i now know why i bought a white car for work, much much much easier to keep clean. hose it and it looks clean.
3 broken mitsubishi's (fuck im stupid)

Yes Dave Ellis is the owner and is a great guy. Drives a very nice R32 VW.

I agree with you on meguiars. It is a very good off the shelf product and you will not have any problems with it. There is however, a better kind of very good.

Zaino is one of the worlds best products.

Swissol is the same although a natural product. Swissol make a wax that retails for over $3100 for 200ml. Would want to be good.

Not exaclty in the league of some of the other photos here, but here are some pics of my wifes dark blue Camry with half of the bonnet cleaned with a waterless car wash/polish. I was very impressed, especially given the amount of effort required. There is noticably less swirl then before and a lot more shine. A couple of small scrathes were removed in other areas and there is no swirl in those areas now. They reckon that after six cleans, majority of the swirl marks will be removed.
