Only flat towed a car out of the driveway... I wouldn't risk pulling it anywhere further than the driveway.

Flat Towing Car - Death...

I can tell a story that happened when i was a young kid in the early 1980's - our neighbour had bought a FJ holden for about $100 from a guy in the next suburb (you could buy good stuff for cheap back then too - another story whippersnappers), so my old man went with him and they picked up the FJ and towed it home on a rope (as was definately the style of the time
) .Well as they drive down a steep hill near home(main road 3 lane ) the rope snapped of course and dad didnt immediately know that, the funny part was ,and i can still clearly remember my dad's face ,when our next door neighbour who we were supposed to be towing overtook us on the outside lane !!I don't who's face was more shocked dad's or his :rotflol: Funny to see this thing which had just been pulled out of a shed for umpteen years zooming past us at 70 with our neighbour behind the wheel white as a ghost (the car had almost no brakes).Maybe you had to be there .
ahh I could also tell a million more stories involving box trailers too .Saturday afternoons in the 1980's were cool shit
