    Shipping a gearbox Melb ? Bris

    Looking for suggestions of a decent carrier to transport a WRX gearbox from a depot in Melbourne to depot in Brisbane.

    Box is not packed (no pallet etc) so transport company would need to organise (but if its horrendously expensive I may be able to source one?.. unless one of you Melb blokes have a small one your not wanting anymore).

    So who's used who before and what sort of cash am I up for?.. any suggestions would be great as I've got no idea about interstate transport & don't have an afternoon to let my fingers do the walking.

      most couriers/transport mobs wont touch it unless it's wrapped and/or on a pallet, especially if it's liklely to leak oil such as gearboxes so at least make sure it's drained and clean.
      Turns out, far too much has been written about great men and not nearly enough about morons

        She's drained and clean but i suspect your correct in saying it needs to be packed.

        Might have to see what i can sort out, bit of a pain but needs to be done.

          simon national transport I have used the b4 they can if you can get it on the truck pick up and deliver if there is soem one at the other end to door to door or even deport to depot.

            most storage places (like national storage or kings) will have some pallets around which should be free or next to it.
