airbags ive heard go from 1500-2000 or something.... so that could be a huge factor.... if they went of then be a no worries with the other panel damage

My GF worked in a panel shop up until recently, she’s 99% confident it will be “fixed”…. Have you got any under hood shots?....
Her panel shop was a AAMI recommended repairer too, seen much worse cars come through and be fixed.
Bit of a bugger for you, got to hurt at resale (if not trading in
) cars that have had a big hit and not written off

i guess thinking about it, it's not looking like an economic write off, but if it gets written off it will be because of structural damage...
Do i have any sway to push AAMI to write the car off on the grounds i don't think it'll be safe to be repaired, and don't want a heavily damaged car etc etc or is it totally at their discretion??
For the people asking for other pics, i don't have any at the moment. They were just snapped at the scene by a friend to show the damage, and get a photo of the area and the other car. I'll get some more pics when it's taken to the assessment centre and I pick up some belongings...
