Well, Thrifty (being I think controlled by Bitsamissing) has a bunch of those cheapies floating around as rentals... or freebie rentals....

To be fair, I don't mind the looks and the cost of the 380sx. I would imagine if things get a bit more desperate for them, I might get one.

You been behind the VRX when it has its indicators on? I swear, you couldn't make an important primary safety device any less visible if you tried. The indicators on VL Commodores with faded tail lights and 30 coats of night shades tail light tint are more visible than the 380's rear indicators.

                Mr. Tandy Ass,

I have not even seen a VRX or GT model in the flesh as yet!

I've only seen the base ES model.

Since introduction I have seen five of them, all ES.

I saw 3 in a row the other day! And they were all definately owners. (not dealers)

My girlfriend said "That is one of the ugliest cars i've ever seen!"

I saw all of them at the Sydney Motor Show.

I looked under the back, saw there was plenty of space for a rear diff and IRS, so I asked the demonstration guy on the stand when the 4wd version will come out? He said the company had no plans to do it.

If it was an EVO-like 4wd turbo for under 40-45,000 that I'd think about buying one.

I'm a car lover. I don't give a shit about the one piece side panel used. It is supposed to make door fit better than any other car. Basic problem it is a mid-size FWD Magna with a future that only involves a trip to sims metal.

I'm sick of Mitsubishi selling their cars with 'race-bred' heritage.. I want race-bred performance. I want to see that mitsubishi knows how to innovate and improve their design, fuel efficiency and performance.

Instead, Mitsubishi Australia consistantly show us that they are a bunch of hat wearing conservative old-timers, with no idea about what the Australian public wants.

They'd need to be priced at under AU$20,000, for them to start selling, even then, they may not sell.

Having a 4WD version is a start, only problem is it has to come from the US plant but they like ghey FWD or Aust plant...as MMC Japan is not responsible for the new Galant shape or mid-size sedans at the moment under the recovery program.

Also you get the idea that with ONE engine, ONE body style and the odd details that Mitsubishi had a strict budget.

They can't be adding options willy nilly. The 380 has it's design limitations but that doesn't make it a bad car.

I'm seeing them pretty frequantly, I guess they are selling in Adelaide.

They're aren't my sort of car but they seem good enough. I think the reason they aren't selling is to do with Mitsubishi's image (which can't be fixed by releasing a car).
