I still love the look of the R35, Apparently Renault (part Owners of Nissan, and current F1 champions ..ahem..) helped design this car. I think that if this car Sells for under 150k youve got an absolute Bargain. considering this car will look more modern, and full on than the most current porche's, ferrari's that are out. Ive only seen a few shots of the interior and id have to say im impressed.. As for road going ability.. THumb Way up!.. a japanese friend i have has magazines posted to him from his home country.. He was telling me that the car was being tested at nurburgring in Germany, and as most of you know the R34 GTR held the lap record there for a considerable time. anyway the "GTR Proto" has according to the mag destroyed the R34's time. Im not 100% sure of what the power output will be, above 330kw?, thats sounds like porche/ferrari/lamborgini mashing abilitly to me.. i cant wait to see this car in the flesh.. i wont be able to afford one, unless i win the lotto. otherwise ill dress up like some rich bastard and go take a test drive at the dealership.

Not sure what your getting at here, but if I've read this right your saying Nissan Aust brought in limited numbers of R34's. Nissan only had one foray into GT-R's, they were the R32's. Nissan has not imported any GT-R's since.

If Nissan were to bring in any of the new GT-R, this would immediatly kill off the import route, or make it bloody difficult. Basically if it's sold here new, then no low volume imports allowed. The only exception would be personal imports.

as far as i remember, nissan aust brought in 100 R34's under the import laws for local sale, same as mitsu oz brought in the first 100 evo 6.5's under the import laws

The scariest part of paying $150k is,
how much you will tear up in the first year....
            $50k ?

                That posted article is BULLSHIT

Came from a Japanese mag called BESTO - according to the GTR UK owners club members the mag is renowned for publishing shit.

I would say wait for the offical Nissan announcement before believing anything.

Now there is a conservative estimate.

If it comes here, I'll wait until the first ones come off lease (3 years) & buy one for about 30% of what they cost new.

Having said that - below are some GTR "mule" shots from the "RING" - from the bonnet vents definately looks twin turbo - thankfully

As its the mule its the new GTR drive train in a adopted body.

One would think that if Nissan did plan to bring the GTR out here they would of already started some sort of marketing research too see if its viable.

I suppose hits too their concept site might show some sort of gauge of interest.

Does a GTR Badge go faster then a M3 badge....... (price differences considared.....)
                        Panzer Wagen

M-Cars follow the idea that power should be felt & not seen

if it is just some blokes infiniti then they didnt finish it very well. square rear bumper, wide body, unfinished exhaust etc.

Or depending on how few they bring in, the prices could go above RRP. Nissan may even do this on purpose to try and keep them exclusive and hold their value better. Of course this would screw everyone who wants to go the import route and the people who miss out on the few local ones.

Pics taken from another forum. Just noticed that the front lights are pretty much situated on teh guards so gives it a less 'pumped' look from the front. Also dont like the profile of the side windows in that last pic.

Might look odd in the photos but I bet it stands up and gets noticed with presence on the street.
