My best mate has the Quattro turbo and loves it...only drama was a fullgearbox rebuild under warranty....it was jumping out of 2nd/4th/6th gear....the Audi service guy said it was not the first they had done for similar reasons.

He chose it over a Boxster.

have you looked at an S3?

they are getting very cheap now. you'll get an 02/03 model around that price with fewer kms. quattro awd, 165kw, beautiful recaro seats, bose stereo etc

Ive had my TT for about 2 months now.

TT's are a very good buy second hand as they can be bought relatively cheap. However ive read a bit about problems but most of these I hear about are from europe where there are many more on the roads obviously. I bought mine new cause I plan to keep it a while and managed to get a very good price with the new model out next year. Also I like the idea of a 5yr warranty which is what I managed to get with the car.

I bought an 06 TT Quattro 165kw. It wasnt even a question to buy a lower specced model (110kw or 140kw). The 165Q comes with Bose/Xenon over the other models along with the higher output motor and Quattro.

Like Q said, the interior is just funky and always gets the attention of anyone who gets inside. Its a shame they dont come with electric seats or auto dimming mirror but all of these little things will be addressed on the new model.

As a second hand car im sure they are great. They handle really well and have plenty of poke. There are a billion mods out there as the car has been on the market for donkeys (since 99). For eg, spend $1800 and take that 165KW Quattro to 200KW.

Im planning on adding a remus twin exhaust and some new wheels in addition to the remap I mentioned above which will make the car just that step further I hope.

Dont have any pics of mine as yet (so lazy) so cant show you how hot the latest model looks with the S-line kit, but its definatly alot nicer looking with it then without IMO.

Good luck with whatever you decide.

Ok so I managed to snap a few pics this afternoon. Nothing special as im definatly no photographer, lol.

Not meaning to hijak, but as for wheels.. what do ppl think about these bad boys?

Now as far as im aware, being Quattro I cant stagger the width like in that picture and must go no higher then 8.5 wide all round? If anyone could please let me know. Thanks.

                    noice.
the new front lower side vents, honeycomb rear lower valence and larger rear spolier makes it more "manly" IMO.
                    good job!
is it dolphine grey or atlas grey or a new colour? i like the new baby blue-ish colour.... and papaya orange is my fave.

                      Quartz Grey

Its a new colour that came out with the new A6, and only a few TT's were painted in this colour for 06. (last production year) So I was lucky cause I didnt want common silver and black is a pain in the ass. I learned that the hard way with my old Alfa.

                        cool.

yeah cant stand black. got my current car in black (its either that car or wait 3 months, i have no patience), had the shits, so painted it a diff colour.

dad's car is also black, PITFA to keep it clean too.

Very very nice. I reckon the stock wheels look the goods though, not sure why you'd want to replace them..

Its not that I dont like the stock wheels.. (best TT wheels to date) but who doesnt like to mod thier car.. :D

I like the wheels, but im not so sure im sold on them on a TT.

                            EDIT --

Just found a gallery full of different wheels on TT"s. Now im really confused. lol.

                            http://www.ttgallery.fotki.com/misc_...wheel_gallery/

Does anyone know about stagged fitment on a Quattro TT? Cause ive had people say you cant put different width rear on a Quattro TT.
But in most of the pics on that site it shows Quattro TT's with stagged (wider rear) rims.
