Never launched, taken to the track / mountain runs, rarely revved out, stock boost.

Up until recently was used as daily transport for my GF to and from work, we have no need for it now (she works in the City now).

Drives very nice with the VF28 and FMIC, virtually no lag & I would imagine an 12 sec ¼.

A good condition low km 99/00 for less than 20k? Dreams again.

        22k for a stock 99 with 70 odd km's is a reasonable price.

I sold a mildly modded 99 with 70K for 24.5.k not long ago, and about 9 months ago, a mildly modded 01 with similar km's for 33.5k

Sounds to me like you ripped some people off quite well.

Shouldn't be that hard to get at or under 20 grand.

hahaha.. I wouldn't quite go that far. You get what you can... and he did well!

But yes you'd have to be at least mildly retarded to pay 33.5K for an MY01.

More power to you, if you get that though

If the vehicle is 100% factory, even on regular unleaded, the factory knock sensor would retart ignition to suitable level to refrain from long term damage from minor detonation. If the vehicle is well kept offer 22k and see how you go. Low K's for its age, be sure to have it looked over.

Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

With those mods, the Forg value on that car is 11k

Haha that is seriously good value

Well i know of one that went in Brisbane (2-door STI), so there was only one other for the rest of Australia?

Thats not bad going then.... I thought there were more at the time.

A Version 5 STi engine certainly committed suicide up here in Darwin.

The dealer blamed it on the owner sitting near the speed limiter (180km/h).

It was settled in a court case I believe.

With the ambient temps you guys would get in Darwin i'm sure knock would be a more common occurance than down south.

Give an idea of the Sydney market I sold this car three years ago for 32k MY01 52,000km's with all the fruit forged internals, vf22 , factory fitted cream leather etc etc . It seems the sydney market is alot differen't to the other states MY01's with low km's can be had here in the very low 20's now high teens if you can put up with high km's .

This may be a bit left field, but there are other good options around for 24K too. If you can only get a 99 WRX for 24k, then I'd be looking at Astra turbos which are a lot newer and around that price (some even in the high teens and 2003 models). A nice 04/05 Renault Clio Sport would be good for that money too.
