I had an accident on the weekend too.
Maverick + bullbar + full comp = FTW.
$4700 damage to the other guy. I lost a spotlight
Im so glad I got insurance on it now. Its only $850 for the excess and an $800 premium.
Mud tyres and wet roads dont work so well together.
No steering and no stopping in a hurry

and yet.. he's still in the right
assuming you have a 60% no claim at the moment, your insurance will be like 1800 next year? + what they will bump it up for having a claim in the last year? + the excess.. might have been cheaper to pay for his damage..This is a post i wrote by mistake, which is nice...

If he had no brake lights then it is his fault - he is driving an unroadworthy car and should not be allowed on the road. Also If he stopped in a no-parking/standing zone etc he may also be at fault.
I rear ended a guy years ago and got off paying for the damages because his car was so rusted out the cops thought it was a joke that it was still on the road. His car was deemed unroadworthy and it was said that he was at fault because he should not have been there.Originally posted by tandy assGot a 97 cielo for free (I think i got ripped off)

cause third party isn't insuring your vehicle, it's insuring against the likelyhood of you (the driver) causing an accident. So because you're the same driver in both cars, the third party should be about the same as far as i understand it.Originally posted by BermoI'm under 25 and TPPD for a 5.8L XY is only $265 a year.
Although that said for my 1.2L Datsun Sunny it was $267 a year?
Go figure? :w:Originally posted by edoYeah, be aloof...the world needs loofs

surely statisticly a under 25 driver would be more likely to cause damage to someone elses car/property in a 5.8L fowlcoon rather than a 120y?
otherwise comprehensive would only be more expensive based on where you lived and the value of your car..This is a post i wrote by mistake, which is nice...

isn't that the truthOriginally posted by 2JZR313rd party proporty damage should bre compulsory.
insurance is due for reform IMO
3rd party property should be rolled in with medical
comprehensive should cover situations outside of the above - with the attendent price drop due to the falloff of coverage
IMO people not cars should be the decider... somewhere along the line it was deemed that the car should be the holder of the policy not the personOriginally posted by boxxx
