                          If you could get the EJ20 to fit nicely in a 914...... Surely you could pick one up for 7k, and that would be cool with a decent amount of hp

                            You will get a mint 2wd Gen 2 for $8k.
                            Sunspares have a fair few gen 2's coming thru now(no I don't work there anymore). You could arrange for a repaired car less engine and box thru them for a reasonable price.

                            I'll sell you my Green S2 wagon for $9k. :D Plenty of room in the back for a mattress.

                              If you buy a shell from Fowles or Pickles make sure it isn't a repairable write off etc. This goes for all wrecking yards as well.
