Translation: Get a Safeguard to take care of knock and don't worry about a lack of knock control in current ECU's.
In my case, M800 + Safegaurd.
I forget phee, do you have an M600?

I don't know how skyline ignitions are setup, but J&S should have a compatible unit.

the reason these knock detectors/controllers dont work very well , or not accurately is that every engine has its own unique 'noises' going on.
very hard to design a box that knows exactly when knock is present over the general noise of everything else.
car companys spend big dollars on designing ecus & knock sensors that can pick up knock on a particular engine , most aftermarket ecu manufactors simply dont have the resources to do the same.
guy that tunes my car uses the good old microphone / headphones to listen for it.
supposed to be a very distinctive sound , allthough it fucks me how he hears anything over my noise my shitbox puts out.

I never knew there was such a thing. Cylinder specific advance and retard without programming. If it hears a knock, it retards that cylinder for the next cycle and then starts winding advance back in. You only have to set how quickly it comes back, and how much it should take out.

Aftermarket ECU knock controll is extremely difficult to get working. Knock is far to engine specific. Unless you use DSP and have records of every different engine setup.
I still prefer to tune properly using the old copper pipe and hose method.
Never argue with an idiot. They will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience.
needs a bf whos a mechanic , or at least had some experience in building motors ... would save bigtime on labour
otherwise its probably going to cost more than the cars worth to achieve what she wants performance wise.
