lol. My take on the matter is most supra drivers like massive RWHP and manual gearboxes. This setup will (usualy) result in lame 400m times for the power of the car, but it will be insane at highway rollons and be super fun to drive and get massive MPH at the drags. I like to see 400m times that reflect the power of the car, not just MPH. But thats me. Each to their own.

So anyone know more about convertor slip?

Over the stall speed it will be only 2 or 3 percent.

take any high hp car to the drag strip on street tyres and see what the result is.
just so happens a lot of supra owners , including me , have done exactly this and got shit et's to show for it

Smaller wheels + higher diff ratio = lower speed at same RPM

What diff ratio you running Dennis? Mines about 4.1:1, I think RZ runs either a 3.9:1 or a 3.7:1.

I have heard 3.8 for auto and 3.6 for manual or there abouts. I think the 4.1 will be perfect for an auto, specialy with larger wheels. But it would suck for a manual as the gearing is much shorter in the gearbox.

I've seen this car in action on a private freeway and I can say that's one hell of a fast "12 second car"

Im taking mine on Wednesday just for shits an giggles. Its not exactly "high power" with 241rwkw, but with 225 shit street tires and an open diff I will probably be lucky to get 13's. I don't reckon I will hit 180 but the drag calculators reckon it will. I tried a few practice runs on a private road which just ended up with really long single black lines :D I'm certain doing 150m skids will give shit ET and MPH even if some people reckon the more you spin the wheels the faster you go.

I know a Liberty RS can hit 260 and the WRX has similar gearing... i reckon it'd be around the same.

I've ridden in it, on a private road, and it's the fastest machine I've ever been in.
                          Period.
I've been in that 600hp WRX 'V8 ETA' and Pete's Supra is quicker.
