My friend had a placement working at ROH finishing the 3.6 inlet manifolds after they were cast. he was removing the last of the burrs and checking they were within tolerances. They have a +/- 5mm tolerance on the inlet runners, so if anyone gets one and it doesnt seem to go as well as other VE's... might be worth ripping the manifold off and port matching it?

+/- 5mm in bore size? That's farkin rediculous, Bill could fly a 747 through a tolerance of that size. I would hope that it's actually a bit smaller than that if it's the bore sizes, even if it is a cast part.

Ohh and VE looks alright... bit too boy racer, dunno if I'd buy one.

Yep, it was +/- 5mm for the bore size

Whether it's a good car or not, there will be a segment raving that it is the best thing since (insert item here) and there will be a segment who will say that it's not as good as (insert other brand here) because of (insert faux reason used to support bias here), simply because it's a new Holden. I will wait till I drive it.

WRT the added weight, it has more to do with nvh than impact worthyness IMHO.

I was going to say that Nero, plus the esp needs a pump, extra electronics; tha must add weight. And it has about 362 airbags as well.
