          Australia's fastest 1jz! 2jz are only good for 12s at 150 mph.

            188,000 kilometre untouched 2.5 litre 1jzgte.

            mods

big turbo, 1000cc injectors, micrtoech, little bit of gas, good gearbox and awesome suspension, mt et drag radials.

            a simple but effective receipe.

i have a built engine ready to go in, have a few more goals to kick with this pacakge first, then with the new engine i will be looking for a 9.7 9.8 in the mid 140mph range.

              :D

It did make me wonder about the point of the supercrown to be honest.

747 is stock bottom end, big single, simple management, 10.4 s. Supercrown is an expensive engine, custom manifolds etc etc and looks like a bigger job to run 10.4s. Am I missing something? :D

Crown would be heavier I'd say, and definitely a bigger sleeper.

Supercrown engine was cheaper than a 1jz at the time of purchase, it's something totally different, the crown deserved a torque monster and yeah, Sean is a masochist. BTW there's not much on the superclown that isn't custom, but homemade! Plus the clown runs 10.2's, and is a very very very good candidate for 9s on the current setup. Dunno if the cressida will get there without some help

I wasn't being negative, just makes you wonder I guess- Is there anything a 1jz can't do? :D

i dont know why people compare sean and i's cars

they are totally different in several different ways

                        4.5 vs 2.5

old chasis solid axle versus irs

                        slick vs radial

and we run in different classes

about the only thing they have in common is the same gearbox built by the same guy. oh and where good mates and exchange info and help each other go faster.

seans is about as modified as mine when you really think about it.

and once he changes his gearing it will be even faster, if it doesnt run a 9.6 and about 145 mph i'll eat a beef product from maccas, and any one who knows me knows i have beef from maccas.

                            no nos vs 50 shot......

                            Oh wait just a minute!

Both are certainly awesome toyotas, especially for a couple of blokes who don't own big name workshops, and for whom modding cars isn't their day job!

Both are stock internals too... how much stock internalled GTST's do you see doing 10's? (2.5 rb vs 2.5 1J)
