Lowndes is a Ford man... always has been. Signing up with Holden was just a way of getting into the game.

I thought the tribute was slightly poor form. Denyer and that other bird were laughing a fair bit, I didn't find it a laughing matter. I also think Bev bagged him a bit... and that's just not right, sure they may have had their issues, but the poor buggers dead, it's not necessary to stick the knife in his back anymore, it's time to celebrate the great things about him, not the bad.

I guess I'm still very sore about losing an idol, a hero and a legend.

Celebration is a cause for laughter when you think about it.

People handle death in different ways.......like you, I have trouble laughing. But I don't have an issue with others having a giggle at things he's done in the past if it helps them deal.

Denyer is genuinely shattered. I think he did well to keep himself composed until the very end when he just couldn't take it anymore and caved in.

Yeah the show did seem a bit silly but at least some people that knew him well had a chance to speak. There was some great footage in there too! So what are the official memorial plans for Bathurst this year?

I thought it was well done. Bit more motorsport footage would have made it that little bit better.
