To which some will say "pfft. so he should. he earns a $quillion", but you'll always get that sort of attitude.Originally posted by SturmovikHe also donated $20million to the Tsunami relief fund.
With a career as long and as successful as he has had you are bound to have some low points but the high points out weight them by far.
It wont be the same without him for a little while but there is a new crop of superstars in the making that should make F1 interesting viewing.

It’ll be an age before we see another Schumacher, though.Originally posted by DrifterIt wont be the same without him for a little while but there is a new crop of superstars in the making that should make F1 interesting viewing.
I always compared him to the Terminator, sent back through time on a driving mission: he’s robotic, ruthless, unstoppable, and on level terms you simply can’t beat him.

Jean Todt’s response:Originally posted by itsnotagsrWilli Weber's (MS's manager) insights:
However as was noted in the race report, the most interesting and revealing post-race quote came from Willi Weber who admitted that Michael's main reason for retirement was not to spend more time with his children, it was down to him losing influence at Ferrari and not being able to exert his No.1 status from 2007. In effect he's retiring because he's not prepared to race Raikkonen on equal terms.
"Some people have speculated that Michael made his decision because he did not want to compete with Kimi - they are simply stupid."

He raced sports sedans or touring cars (DTM?) of some sort before F1, so perhaps he'll do a few invitational drives here and there?Originally posted by rolin7i wonder what he will do with his time now?
hes a driver, its not like hes going to want to sit on his ass for the rest of his life, hes going to want to drive something, somewhere, against someone else
Perhaps he'll have a stab at Targa Tas in an enzo?

Scaife's co-driver?
My guess is he'll run Ferrari after Todt leaves. Then there'll be an argument and he'll run his own team (like Jackie Stewart)."If you can make black marks on a straight from the time you turn out of a corner until the braking point of the next turn, then you have enough horsepower." - Mark Donahue Penske Porsche 917

He used to race sports cars/group-C, drove for Sauber-Mercedes.
I reckon itsnotagsr is on the money – he’ll be with the Scuderia in some sort of technical/strategic role.
