Just wanted to mention how beautiful that supra is. If there's any car that is far beyond it's years in style, supra is it. Very very nice mate.....

incidentally, how do you go with driving that corolla in mayaysia? does your head hit the roof with a helmet on?

i'm 6'2" and i had to crouch a fair way down in my cordia when at the drags wearing a helmet. although admittedly it has a full interior & standard seats, unlike that corolla you race.
I'm 6'5" and i didn't have to crouch at all with a helmet on

            ran a 13.6 aswell (2001)

RZ, my poopra is starting to axel tramp/wheel hop 1st and 2nd - does yours do this? only happened going from 15psi to 20psi on to4r. feels like i broke it. Using the stock bilstein suspension currently - may upgrade to coilovers of some description.

I also need new wheels - what offsets are you running to get those big feet under there?

yeh they can tramp badly if you start shifting hard in the lower gears.
firstly id try new or even just different coilovers , or experiment with different tyre pressures.
some tyres will just love to do it too , and swapping them out for something else can make the problem go away.
other than that ive often thought about solid mounting the whole rear subframe to the body to try and lessen the effect but never got around to it.
i do know ppl have had success solid mounting the diff to the subframe rather than subframe > body , both are quite involved jobs but if you run out of ideas id definetly try it.

to fit these size wheels the offset is dead critical because you are really pushing for clearence front and back.
a 10 inch wheel in the front will need a +45mm offset , and a 11.5 in the rear will need +51mm.
you will also have to trim the outer lip at the back a fair wack , and clean forget about having the car 'hektik' low , they will rub everywhere.
best sus out tyres before you go this big in wheels , NOT cheap ... at least $3000 to outfit all 4 in the popular brands.

RZ, do you run semis or "regular" tyres?

yeah cheers RZ. I have 17's with 275 on the back now, and will prob go for 18-19 but dont want to go cheeze cutters. I think something has upset the applecart because if I let it come on from low rpm in 2nd - IE, smoothly, at 4200rpm it will start hopping around. I see nolathane do kits for poopra now - might have to look into that too.

I cant go hectic low anyway - i was convinced to buy a top secret front bar - bonus is I have a snow plow just in case it snows in Brisbane. It will pay for itself then.

im using p-zero 'corsa' atm , they are classed as a semi , awesome tyre for a road/track car.
good for about 8000 kms depending how much you knock them around.
i bet your dirty about the front bar now you realise how fucked they are to use on the street , did you keep your stocker ?

well, i have two stocker bars, and they are both nearly beyond repair. thought aftermarket bar will fix that. i think i was the first to ask if tein coil overs can go higher than stock. Im hoping a little help from coil overs, and a slight increase in rolling diametre with tyres will do the trick. Currently on 17's i have stretched tyres which isnt helping - and the bilsteins have sagged or possibly been lowered a little in a previous life.

yes im trying hard to convice myself it will all be good.

yeah, i have to drive with those bumper bra type things on all the time - to disguise it. Just like they do with new cars with the spy photograph shots.
