Yeah I do look for rust, one problem it's got starting now is similar to a Gemini problem. Where the rear beaver joins the rear guard above the tail light the seam sealant has cracked and let abit of water in starting rust lucky I spotted that. I'm also a bit concerned about the rubber strips in the roof eventually hiding rust underneath them..

Mine doesn't have much problems with tyre wear even though it's got 3 degrees neg camber on the rear but it doesn't do any towing.

      Have you checked out

      http://www.pickles.com.au/servlet/Au...sale=452000221

Seems to be a few wagons up although not as cheap as the VT

      Maybe QFleet as well.

Wow... considering I was going down this same route maybe I'll hold out for a VX too

VX S1 better with the tyres than the VT's? or S2?

Would the rear tyre wear be a problem on them if not lowered? I plan on towing with it but the bike only weighs 10/10ths of fuck all

Are these problems wagon related or just general VT problems? (rear tyre wear wise)

        ...

Insert random question about me wanting to know how to make a wagon handle?

The extra link they added is just for toe, isn't the tyre wear issue caused by camber?
No wait tyre wear would be caused by toe as well if the car is lowered or carrying alot of shit. At standard ride height my one has both rear wheels parallel..
So if you're carrying heavy stuff in a VX2 it's gonna have lots of camber but no toe out/in?

I think the IRS tyre wear thing varied from car-to-car; our VS sedan seems fine, but it's probably carrying less weight in the rump (despite the highly aerodynamic spoiler probably putting tonnes of downforce on the tail at 80km/h).
Soft roaders represent an excellent compromise between the needs of the hardcore 4x4 user and the convenience of a city hatchback. Its clear to see why they have become so popular in todays society.

The old's VT didn't suffer TOO badly from rear tyre wear, although sometimes it did have an awful lot of junk in the trunk. Mind you, when I drove it I made it suffer. Used to be very controllable in a slide, as long as you didn't get out of the throttle in a big way.

i thikn burnouts will wear the tires more then the camber.. lol
haha, nah seriously, if its to low and to much camber u can just get it fixed up so its low and the correct camber
                ?|??
i know i had to do the same with my silvia

is it wise to buy the S1 of anything?

I would have thought it's a better idea to get a S2 where they have fixed all the little bugs in the S1?

What would happen if Rorge bought a car off Morgs?

Yeh I tend to agree with that.

I regularly service a VT S2 wagon. It has done 360K and rarely uses a drop of oil, just a little before service is due..
Things to check i'm surprised no one has mentioned is power steering pump leaks and check auto transmission oil is nice and red and not burnt or there is $$$$..
