This thread reminds me of when my brother sold his old HT many years ago. Three blokes came to pick it up, they drove off down the road, over a small hill and had got approx 500m when it ran out of fuel!

I believe that unless the dealership gives you the premium top 'retail' $$$ for your trade in, then they forgo all things nice like full tanks of petrol, aftermarket goodies etc.

I dumped my wrx on the door step of a certain dealership on empty, sans stereo/speakers/subwoofers/big wheels/pod/guages/turbo timer etc.

I was going to actually pull out the leather interior and swap with mate's stock interior but new car came in early and ran out of time.

He was wondering why I wanted to gtfoh when he was showing me around the new car....I was like yeah, yup yup, ok, gotta go, i'll work it all out myself kthanxbai.

He rang me the next day to ask where some bits and pieces were, and I said - no mention of that in the contract - buh boooow.

and later the week car on lot for $10K more than trade in


so my advice - if you are not already high from sucking down a few pints of petrol is -DO IT.
