Look at the figures out of the RS4 - what a bloody weapon! How is it people regard the S4 as a much lesser car when the RS4 only has 20% more power.

Innit because so much else was changed on the RS4 that it's transformed (over the S4) away from being a lead-tipped arrow of only moderate straight-line performance?

I drove an Omega yesterday... not bad, smooth, very light steering, rode nice, brakes were shocking though... engine sounded good.

Our R&D guys said they have seen Ssangyong's put together better though.

That's what you hear when people talk about the RS4 - but how do you turn a flat 14 second car into a flat 13 second car without an assload more power (or weight loss alternatively)? Perhaps the rear-biased AWD system.. I dunno?

Decent tyres and/or lower pressures would see 13's one would think.

I would be really interested to know what sort of boost these things run. Someone has told me it's a K03 running nearly 20psi but that sounds a bit high! Would explain the massive torque though (small turbo, heaps of boost)

The trap speeds seem pretty high for most car's compared to their ET. Like 14.2 @100mph for the WRX isn't a very good launch and/or slow gearchanges.

Also the 350z track 14.4@102mph and the xr6turbo 14.16@105mph

Surely the current Lib would shit on the old one for ride/comfort/equipment/safety etc - but still hauls the same ass. That's not too bad. Not a fan of it's fake vents in the bumpers.... too HSV for me.
