TECHNICAL FIELD STAFF - WIRELINE LOGGING ENGINEERS.

Borehole Wireline Pty Ltd is a young and fast growing Adelaide based company providing wireline logging services for the Uranium exploration industry throughout Australia, but with particular emphasis in South Australia and the Northern Territories. We are experiencing unprecedented demand for our services and require several new recruits for our wireline logging services.

Wireline logging involves remote data acquisition of a rock’s physical properties using electronic “tools” lowered and raised in exploration and/or mining boreholes on steel armoured cables. The physical properties measured can range from natural gamma radiation, electron density, resistivity, conductivity and through to a full orientated acoustic or optical image of the borehole wall.

Our team provides key geophysical data to mining and exploration companies, which is essential for exploration, development and expansion.

A wireline logging engineer is responsible for the data acquisition, calibration of the equipment and tools, presentation of final results to the client, cleanliness and mechanical aspects of the logging vehicle through to daily reporting and timesheets.

As a wireline logging engineer with Borehole Wireline, you will be our “face” with the client, so it is important we train you through practical experience and SOP’s. We will provide you will all suitable work clothes and safety equipment.

We will offer a competitive salary and conditions, together with Key Performance Bonus’s.

You will need an open driver’s license, good health and fitness, be willing to work in remote locations, be a self starter and have a logical mind with attention to detail.

Qualification wise, we are flexible but you will need evidence of sound technical education or relevant work experience. This may include a degree, diploma or trade qualifications. Those with incomplete degrees are encouraged to apply.

Always worth sending a CV through, we're an expanding company.

The boss is the sort of bloke who keeps interesting CV's on file, and looks back through them for future positions.

that stuff only pays $80,000 m8.

look for jobs about looking at holes in ground while holding stop/go signs, youll clear 100k no sweat.

Not 100% sure of how far you could go with it but for an example, I work in a gold mine 770km NE of Perth and I fly in and out on a 1 week on 1 week off roster, but I'm an electronics tech.

I asked one of the sparkies here what he was on and he replied "only $45hr, I could get heaps more if I went up north".

Now he works a 8/6 roster so with 12 hour shifts, he'd be on ~$112k PA and that's working just over half the time.

Even sparky wages in Perth are getting rediculous, my wife just left an Electrical Contracting company and the boss there was hounding me to come and work for him TA'ing for $30hr while I'm home...if I wasn't so busy I would have loved some extra $$$.

So when are you coming over, bring the Skyline as I'd love to give you a run

EDIT: Actually come to think of it, they may even fly you in/out from QLD. The company I work for (I subcontract), was looking for more Comms/Electronics techs and I put them onto a mate in Newcastle...they were willing to fly him in and out but he didn't take the job as it meant to much fucking around (Newcastle to Sydney, Sydney to Perth, Perth to bumfuck Idaho...then return on his days off)

I'm lucking in that I fly straight to site, around 1:45 minutes and the flying time is counted as part of the first working day.

If you want to stay with rail, get in contact with Pilbara Iron, Rio Tinto or Fortescue Metals as they all run rail lines for their iron ore operations.

If you wanna work in Perth in commercial/industrial drop me a PM.
