I get tax free as the project I am working in is an approved aid project by DFAT, so I don't pay Aussie tax, but I could be liable for Indonesian tax, but there is an agreement by the Indo government that they will wear the tax liability themselves, so no tax for me.

I work basically as a term employee for the company that is completing the contract. I think it made.it easier than me being a subbie through my company for visas and resident permits.

I meant the ODA jobs that dont pay tax.
I guess it’s different if you’re a contractor or NGO.

Not yet, and they are already talking of extending the project and its only 4 months in.....

There is plenty of development and aid projects around.

Seems to be the hardest bit is getting out of the sector. The second hardest bit is getting that foot in the door.

Damn it’s been popular..600+ applicants. PM me if you really did apply and I need help for HR to “unfilter” so I see the app.

I've got 3 months experience in Helpdesk. Here's my tax file number. I'll be there Monday and would like a West facing office

    Lets guess.

I'll start in Aussie dollars at

250K-300K + short term incentives at 20-40% of base.

There would probably some relocation / accom benefits too?

Problem is when you're established, packing up an leaving is hard, For somewhere like Singapore or HK I'd probably go for it. But Manila is a bridge too far. The actually looks right up my alley. 20+ years in IT, 10+ working in the Big4 in Retail Banking, Private Banking and Datwarehousing, remainder consulting to various sectors including Banking and Insurance etc etc.
